NCLEX JUNE 2018

Nursing Students NCLEX

I took my NCLEX exam today (June 19, 2018 at 8am). I had 94 q's, a lot of SATA and Leadership q's. After receiving my email saying I completed the exam (about 30 mins later), I did the PVT trick. I got the "good pop up" but I'm so nervous! Will update when I get my quick results.

Congrats Girl! Yay! How did you study and prepare for the exam?

Hey guys! I wrote my NCLEX RN exam yesterday as well and it stopped at 218 questions. I tried the PVT trick about 3 hours later, and got the "good pop up". I tried a couple of times with 2 different credit cards and was getting it over and over again until about 5:08PM. However, at 6:45, when I checked again after I got home - it changed to "The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time."

I'm freaking out about what this means! I have read a number of forums online that say, that it could be because of some discrepancy with the palm scanner or computer or whiteboards. I did use A LOT of whiteboards, and I didn't know if you could ask for a new one, so on my very first whiteboard, after I used it I try to erase the stuff on it with tissues that I took to my desk, and I guess the examiner saw and she came in with a new white board to give me, and I'm like thats perfect! And I kept putting up my hand each time I wanted a new white board. But I don't know :( I'm scared to check the pop up again because someone said that if you keep checking, it could flag the system as well. Can someone help?!!

I wrote my exam yesterday at 8am and felt completely defeated after the exam thinking I sure failed. My computer shut off at 90 questions and I felt like I was getting each question wrong at the end. I went home and tried the PVT and it worked. I got the "good" pop up when I put my credit card info in with the wrong expiration and CVV. I did once around 4 hours after my exam and again at around 10 hours post exam. This morning I got my official email at 9am that I passed!! From what I've been reading no one feels great coming out of the exam because of it's design. So hold your head high and have faith that you're going to pass because you passed nursing school which is the really hard part!

Awesome! I've been using the same minus the NCSBN questions. I scored a range of 68-72% on the Kaplan tests, which is supposed to be good. What study material seemed to mimic the NCLEX more?

In my opinion, UWORLD was the best option. But I didn't do Kaplan.

Unofficial results say PASS!!! :D

Hello Idiosyncratic,

Congrats on passing the nclex, I hope to pass the nclex next month. Im currently using uworld so did you think that it helped u prepare for the SATA questions on the nclex? Thank you.

Congrats Girl! Yay! How did you study and prepare for the exam?

I used ATI, Saunders NCLEX Comprehensive, Kaplan's Prep Plus , and Lippincott's alternate format books. I followed the Picmonic 4 week study plan but I studied for 5 weeks.

Laylay412, I definitely second idiosyncratic, CNA. I took my NCLEX-RN on Monday and found out that I passed this morning via quick results. I originally was studying with Saunders. I love the Saunders book! It explains things so well but I felt like I wasn't going to hit everything I needed to before the exam so I started using UWorld! I pretty much solely prepared with UWorld. I did about 75-100 questions per day, read the rationales, and took notes. I only studied for about 3 weeks. UWorld was great at helping me prepare for the SATA questions! I wish I had bought this program and used it while in school. UWorld should definitely prepare you well! Good luck!

Congrats to all I'm sure you all passed! Please keep us informed. I take mine next wed! Been freaking out that I am not studying hard enough. My plan has been Uworld and Hurst. Been getting 76 on Hurst and 55 on uworld.

What is PVT? Can someone explain that please

You'll do fine! PVT is a trick where, after taking your boards and receiving your email about you completing your test, you can try to re-register for the exam and if you get the screen that says you've already scheduled this exam or similar, then you've probably passed.

Hello Cn_2bRN919,

Thank you for your input I really appreciate it!! Did u think uworld was similar to Nclex? I've been hearing that uworld is supposed to be harder then nclex. I've been practicing 50 to 75 questions a day. I'm so nervous..

Hello Kbec,

I've been using Uworld as well and been getting the same scores as you. Please let me how your exam day goes, I know u will pass!!
