I am going to have my exam in Hong Kong on december, 24 and would like to ask you to share your experience like hotel locations and rates, transportation in Hong Kong, the test center location and any tips that a first time visitor may banefit from.
Thank you in advance
Which hotel did you stayed, how many days and how much did it cost you?How far was it from the Testing center?
Loryn :)
I stayed in Harbour View International, went by MTR and it took me few min. walking to the MTR station and another 10 min. to the test center. Very convinient. I could go by taxi as well. Hong Kong is a very small island.
I stayed 4 nights in the hotel and it was excellent. It was not very expensive, taking into consideration that I was in Wan Chai area (around 110 US$ a night). The MTR system is very convinient, even if you stay in Kawloon area which is cheaper, there is a good connection with MTR. The distance between the stations is 2-3 min.
Hope this helps.

Is it cheaper to book directly with the hotel or via a travel agent?
What is your experience?

Hi Lawrence, been browsing and surfing, but still cant decide where to book myself. Can you mention here the names of the hotels that are really just walking distance to Grand Millenium-the most important thing we considered.Maybe a 2 or 3 Star hotel will do, coz we're on a tight budget. Thanks and more power to you!
Central Park Hotel and Lan Kwai Fong fits your description. You can just google their websites. There are more hotels to choose from and where ever you are in HK you are always just 10-15 mins. away from everything else because of the MTR but if you want just walking distance then those are the 2.
