I am desperately seeking help from my peers. I have now been unsuccessful three times at the NCLEX exam. I am in New Jersey and I have to take a review course according to the letter I recieved with the report they sent. wWhen I called the board of nursing they said it was a refresher course. I started looking things up, when I look up a refresher course it comes up for inactive nurses. Not sure if that's what I have to do or just a review course like Kaplan. The letter said it should be at least 30 hours and I have to submit proof to the board. Not sure what to and I'm going crazy. Any information would be great! Thanks in advance.

If it's a nurse refresher course, often for inactive nurses usually with classroom & clinical. (As opposed to a NCLEX review class like Kaplan or Hurst). Most county college nursing programs offer them for RN candidates. It's not cheap, average is around $1000-$1200. You can contact the board of nursing with the details of the Kaplan class (around $300-500 but no clinical) to see if it would be acceptable
This is the one for Rutgers:

Hello , I'm on the same situation with you. I would like to know what did you do ? and what really are their requirements. I really thought it's just a 30 hours review course.Your information will be a great help for me. Thank you so much!
