Have you considered taking a refresher course? I saw that you were not educated in the US, perhaps a refresher course with hands on experience will help you to see nursing care from a US perspective. I know these courses are not low cost but the clinical and classroom time with an in person instructor may help push you towards success with the NCLEX. Plus it can help when you seek employment to add a nursing refresher course to your resume if it has been a while since you graduated from nursing school. Many boards of nursing require completion of an approved refresher course after three NCLEX failures before giving approval to test again.
Is there a reason you chose to apply to VT rather than MI where you live?
i studied outside of usa and i already took hurst and ncsbn review course and i dont have ssn number so i resisterd in vermont board.plese give me some information about application transfer and how many attempt i can take in vermont board?thanks

Contact the board. You asked the question. Somebody gave an answer to help. You can contact the board and find out this stuff yourself.
If you failed 4 times I would actually have to suggest more reviews. The boards are there for a reason...to make sure that those who pass nursing school actually have knowledge and ability to be nurses. I'm going to suggest that maybe this isn't for you.
As per VT BoN you must pass the NCLEX within 5 years of your first test date and it appears if you have failed twice, you must pass an approved refresher course to test again. You may have difficulty retesting with VT BoN, since VT BoN now requires a social security number as of May 2012.
You would have to apply directly to a new board of nursing for a license by examination as an IEN as applications cannot be transferred between boards of nursing. However, you can transfer your credentials evaluation from CGFNS to another board of nursing for a fee.
There is a link to all of the US Boards of Nursing at the bottom of this site here: Boards Of Nursing for Nurses | Nursing Students
All include information how to apply for a license by examination as an internationally educated nurse and whether a SSN is required. Many states require successful completion of an approved professional nursing refresher course if an applicant has failed the NCLEX 2-3 times even for another state.
Thread moved to Nurse Registration in the World Nursing Section to elicit further response and support as there are others in similar situation.
Note: a refresher course is NOT the same as an NCLEX review class. A board approved refresher course includes classroom, lab and clinical time to refresh and practice the theory and skills required of a professional nurse

do i need new ces report or can i request cgfns office for extend my ces report and send it to another board where i want to reapply?
Check with CGFNS. There is a charge. But it depends on how long ago your original report was issued and also which state. If for example, applying to NY you need a very different report (CVS that is unique to NY BoN) that is a separate fee and different format. They can use the same docs but the CES isn't sufficient for NY.
i called cgfns they gave me information but now i have one more question i can not see any rules website of illinois board of nursing.can u give me some information about illinois board i mean how many times they allow to take and after how mant attempt do i need any refresher course?thanks a lot dear.

This board is where people come for encouragement With all due respect who are you to suggest to ANYONE that nursing isn't for them? You have people that post here that have taken NCLEX 7 or 8 times and finally passed.

You may have to e-mail or call the IL BON. I e-mailed CA BON and received a reply about fail attempts.
The information the person is requesting would be facts from the states. I find it silly (or lazy) to come here and ask people to research this information. Pick up the phone and call or read the state sites.
I personally find it frightening that somebody could fail 4 or 5 or 6 or more times and eventually pass and get their RN.
Nowhere does the board say only support allowed and no talk of reality.
And anyone can make any suggestion...it is a reasonable thing to do.
