NCLEX 265 DO NOT FREAK OUT!

Published

Hello everyone, I want to share my experience with NCLEX with I took on Feb 20, 2020
I was studying using UWorld and Kaplan. I was confident with most of the topics, and my average was around 60-72%. Kaplan CAT tests were GREEN 3 times. Kaplan's redlines test was 67% for me.
I walked at the testing center at 7:30 AM and was able to start at 7:45. And then my nightmare begins.
I was mentally ready for 265 since I read a lot of topics with positive outcomes, BUT…. after I reach question 140, my confidence left me behind….PLUS, my computer got FROZEN, and they change the whole station for me. After this situation, I couldn't calm myself down. For the entire test, I got ONE math question and NO PICTURES. It was about 45% multiple choice. I got all possible topics on my exam, but most of it was CHEST TUBE, MEDS, and DELEGATIONS. I spent a total of 5 1/2 hours and left with the big feeling of FAILING the exam.
After 3 hours, I decide to check PVT, and I got the message "YOU RESULTS (TEST) ARE STILL ON HOLD," which is mean nothing (neither pass or fail).
The next 48 hours was a nightmare for me; I was checking Pearson and breeze ritually every 4 hours. Finally, on Saturday, I decide to pay for Quick Results, which is NOW AVAILABLE FOR CALIFORNIA, and I got the magic message: PASS!! I couldn't believe my eyes and still didn't have confidence until Tuesday (4 days later ) when I found out my name on the DCA website.
The moral of the story: 265 questions it's not a bad sign; it's doesn't mean you FAIL; most of the people are passing. I hope my experience will calm you down if you just back from your test and got the same nightmare experience as me))

I did 265 questions today. In 2 1/2 hrs and I mentally prepared myself for this. I expected 265. I found out I passed today , I did the PVT and got the good pop up. My license was posted 2hrs later.
