So I take my NCEX on the 8th,I didn't receive my ATT until about 3 weeks ago. I have completed the in class ATI with my school and have been using KAPLAN in class the online resources since early June. I purchased an exam book as well from another company that was just 3 large 265 question tests, I completed two of them a few weeks ago, scoring in the low-high 50's.
My problem is that I am already working on my unit and I had a whole week for orientation and have been working 3 shifts 7-7pm's a week since mid-July. I am exhausted most of the time and was unable to complete the trainers when I wanted to because of work and being so exhausted the next day since I have to travel 4 hours collectively to-from my new job. I do not want to move until I pass the boards and secure my position. I can't move the test date later since my new job has a time limit of how long I can keep my position without passing the NCLEX and also its almost impossible to find a good date with my accommodations.
I am very nervous but I get extra time and separate room for the exam because of my learning disability so I am not worried about running out of time or the testing space in general.
The Readiness test I have yet to take. I plan on taking it it Tuesday, I work Monday. today I want to complete T6 and try to finish T7. I also have 950 questions left in my QBANK to practice with before the exam.
Here are my scores:
Diagnostic - 57%
Trainer 1 - 51%
Trainer 2 - 51%
Trainer 3 - 51% ( I know they are all the same, I can't explain why)
Session 7 Practice Test - 45%
Trainer 4 - 52%
Trainer 5 - 58%
Trainer 6 - 56%
Trainer 7 (have not taken yet today)
Readiness Test - (To be taken Tuesday 7/2)
Sample Test 1: 52%
Sample Test 2: 52%
I plan on taking the Alt format and Priority Test after the readiness exam.
Breakdown of my important scores:
On my trainer 5 topic performance summary - I scored 45-75% on my topic areas, highest being psychosocial integrity - 75%, lowest being physiological adaptation - 45%.
BUT on trainer 4 (same percentage range as T5), my management of care was my highest 75%, lowest still physiological adaptation - 36%.
The QBANK performance summary I get between 37%-50% on all topic areas except safety/infection control I have a 75%. MY lowest area in Qbank is management of care - 34%.
I've noticed my scores keep being in the low-mid 50's on my Qbank, but I have received a handful of 60's- one or two 70's. I have been trying to take QBANKS on the physiological integrity section since I did the worse on that section in T1-3.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE: I know that the nest thing for me to do now is just drill question after question.
IF you have any advice to give me please tell me!
*******What do you think of my scores? Am I doing okay?********
I heard such mixed things about the kaplan results and passing and boards.
Do you think I am going to be okay or do you have some concerns!
I am desperate, anxious, and feel unprepared! I'm awaiting your comments!!

You're suppose to be averaging above 60% for the QTrainers according to Kaplan; the reason why is because Trainer 6 and 7 are mostly application and analysis questions...the one's you'll see on the NCLEX. But don't let that get to you though. It all depends on how much time to spend reviewing every single questions and reading the rationales. Some of my classmate studied for only 3 weeks and they passed...which is amazing;I am happy and jealous at the same time lol.
How good are you with your content? If you recently graduated nursing school, you should skim through certain topics that you might have forgotten a couple semesters ago. If you graduated nursing school a long time ago...well...you have a lot of content to catch up to.
From this point, I would just keep doing questions and reviewing the rationales every single day. Before your test, give yourself a break and relax. It doesn't hurt to do maybe 25 questions, but don't over do it. A little bit of anxiety is good, but too much can be detrimental to your success.
Thank you, Yes I did just graduate. I reviewed a lot of content in June when I didn't receive my ATT. I will continue to review the areas I am weakest. I do get severe test anxiety also. None of my friends that have passed have gotten in the 60's on their Kaplan Trainers, but when I read online people say I have to get above 60's to feel confident I will pass on the first try. It's all very confusing and stressful.

Don't worry about your scores! Do you see how much anxiety you have right now? The best advice I can give you is to do your QBank questions and perhaps do it in sets of 25qs like I did because I was so impatient to sit down long enough to do 75qs. To ease your troubles, I too was scoring in the mid 50s at some point but I passed! But whats most important is doing lots of questions and reading each rationale so DO NOT stress about your scores! I wish you all the best !
Update:
I got a 51% on my Trainer 7..
I don't know what to think. should I reschedule? Will I pass? I take it in 6 Days. I feel like crying.
