NCLEX Date June 22!

It took me 1 month to finish all the questions trainers, q banks & rationale's. Just make a calendar to make sure you finish all your exams on kaplan! Good luck 😁

I passed! :) only used kaplan to study but if you feel like you need additional research for rationale's do it! Find out why the answer is the way it is.

I studied for 5 weeks. I used Kaplan for test taking strategy, Saunders for content, the 35 page study guide that is circulating here, the one week free trial of Hurst, and pharm flash cards (Amazon about $25).

I studied 5 to 6 days a week for about 8 hours. Most of my study sessions were with classmates and we studied in the library together then took the practice tests by ourselves. The 1 to 2 days off a week are very much needed, don't try to study every day, you will burn out and go insane!

I did 100-150 questions a day on the days where I wasn't doing the Q trainers.

Thank you so very much for the great advice! Did you go through the whole Saunders book or just focus on areas that you weren't comfortable with? My Kaplan On Demand course came with a content book so I was thinking of just using that if it's adequate enough. I also have the Saunders book that our school required us to purchase (the Comprehensive Review book).

As I started to read rationales, I noted my weak spots and used Saunders for where I was weak. I don't think Kaplan's content is as good, but that's just my opinion. When I started, my diagnostic on Kaplan was 55%. I called to get it unlocked two days before the test and took it again, it was 79%. I had told myself if it was still below 60%, I would postpone the exam.

I made about the same on the diagnostic, a 57%. So glad to hear your scores improved so much after studying! That's awesome. Hoping mine improves too. Great idea about calling and having it unlocked to retake it again. Do you know the correlation between passing the NCLEX & Kaplan scores? I know that I read somewhere Kaplan recommends above a 65%.

You already know the material. All you have to do is just learn how to take the test. I never did a review. I just had to learn about the types of questions that are presented on the exam. I passed at 75 questions. Just remember, the day before the exam should be rest, relaxation, and absolutely no time studying. You'll be less anxious and well rested. Good Luck!
