NCLEX Books - Which one worked for you?

Published

I've been looking into getting a NCLEX book to use when I start NS this Fall. However, while searching through Amazon I realized there are a million of them, each by a different publisher. Does anyone have one they love or found some were better than others? Each book has good reviews online, but sometimes that doesn't mean much... and I don't want to regret my purchase down the road.

Thanks!!!

for those who have a hard time figuring out why one answer really is the best one, be sure your study books give you rationales for why the right answer is right and why the wrong answers are wrong. many people who do poorly on nclex have a hard time with this concept.

I am getting ready to start my second year as a nursing student and purchased Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2012-2013 Strategies, Practice, and Review, as well as Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment. I wish I had found these before I started nursing school to have been better prepared to answer NCLEX style questions. I think these are two great sources to get you ready for school and of course for the NCLEX exam in the future.

Good luck!! :)

I used Kaplan for their NCLEX test taking tips and NCLEX-RN Q&A's Made Incredibly Easy because it was just questions and answers on any nursing topic that you could be tested on. These are wonderful study tools!

Thank you everyone for weighing in with your opinions. It seems that Kaplan and Saunders are the most popular, so I'll make sure to check those ones out first. And thank you GrnTea for the advice... I'll take any I can get :)
