NCLEX for Arkansas, am I choosing the right path?

U.S.A. Arkansas

Published

I'm from Philippines and planning to apply for state board exam in Arkansas.

I just want to ask if, am I choosing the right place to work for my profession?

Could any one tell me me if I'm doing the right action, instead of applying to other country?

I'm preparing already for my review and I'm procuring my requirements for NCLEX-exam.

Is Arkansas the right place to work for nurses? or for foreign nurses like me?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Who can tell if it is the right decision for you. If you do not already have a work/immigrant visa and need a employer then that may have an impact on your decision. You will also if applying for a immigrant visa need to be aware of retrogression and that currently you will have several years wait so may still want to consider another country

HI, Im having a hard time choosing what state for my nlcex. What is the least complicated state? arkansas is on top of my list, bec of its wide reciprocity. can you suggest a state pls? I might be able to go to US as a dependent, but i cant work for a year, and still dont know what state my partner will transfer,so Im looking for the least complicated state, wherein i can extend the license, and the reciprocity, i want to pass the nclex before i leave. thanks so much.

Not sure what you mean by "reciprocity." All US state licenses can be endorsed to any other US state (as long as the applicant meets any other specific requirements of the "new" state) -- there's nothing special about Arkansas in that regard. If you're referring to the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact), licensure in a compact state has specific limits and you cannot get a "compact license" unless you are a permanent resident of that state. Applying for a license in Arkansas (or any other member state of the NLC) from outside the state will only get you a regular, "traditional" license which can only be used in that state and will note be recognized by any other state.

Thanks Silverdragon,

I'm quite unsure of how to pay my NCLEX registration since I don't have any credit card and bank account?

How to secure for money order?
