NCLEX Anxiety

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello,

I have recently taken NCLEX (1st time) and failed. I am trying to refocus my studies based on my first experience. I am wondering if this is a good idea or not.

My first attempt gave me several EKG strips, which I was unprepared for, and did poorly I' am guessing.

Does anyone know of any quick/easy ways to memorize critical EKG strips necessary for NCLEX?

Thank you

Hi Daisylane,

Check out my post EKG Interpretation

Hope this helps.

Watch Mike Linares video on youtube about EKG. It's basic and easy to understand. :)

Also, a member posted this link

EKG Basics Training - ECG Practice - EKG Practice

hope it helps! :D

Thank you both. I also found this one on another conversation.

It's called Rhythm Strip Qiuz

Hi Daisylane,

I failed the NCLEX my first try a few months ago. I registered again and found out today that I passed. I studied for 3 months to prepare this time and I used an old edition of Saunders NCLEX review that a friend gave to me after I failed. The cardiac section was really good. I really recommend getting an actual review book that goes over all that content. Also, do as many questions as you can. I did about 3000 between Kaplan, Saunders, and various practice exams I had laying around.

Keep your head up and study as much as possible for your next exam! Good luck!

Thank you for sharing Daisy!:)

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have been using several different nclex books this time. Last time (first time) I only used ATI. This time I am using Kaplan and Davis (figures the one book I don't have is Saunders). I also rented a Select all that apply book from Lippincott. I am putting much more energy into preparing this time than I did last time.

Congratulations on passing!!

Hey thanks, this is helpful :)
