nclex anxiety

Published

okay so i take my test at the end of the month..so far i have done kaplan..scoring anywhere between 63-77 on the tests..i failed the diagnostic test and did borderline on the readiness..i am offically nervous anyone got any advice for me? Someone said that the questions on kaplan are pretty much comparable is that right?

:studyowl:I did Kaplan and found the introductory pages on how to read and interpret questions more helpful than the tests. I also did the Saunders review (not the QA book) and found that to be the best in terms of background info I was missing. I did not think the questions on the NCLEX were represented by either book. The content was a lot of stuff I had never come across, but I tried to apply the Kaplan suggestions and it must have worked because I got kicked out at the minimum # of questions. Good luck. Be sure to get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast (avoid coffee or anything that will make you need to go to the bathroom every half hour) and keep telling yourself to relax. You have been preparing for this for months.

Mlyth,

what kind of suggestions does Kaplan give? That's about the only review book I didn't buy..I am using the Saunders CD, trying to at least do 100 questions or more a day. I've only been doing that thought for the past week. How long did you study before you took your boards?

Thanks,
