nclex abroad?

hi all.. i need you help stat. im planning to have my nclex exams in Illinois, my sister is already a citizen in the US. what visa should i avail? and how many days or weeks will i have if ever il have my visa? oohh pls help me.. i need you guys.

What country are you from? Do you have a job and can show close times with home so that the embassy can see you will leave at the end of your visa? You may get refused if only for to sit the exam as the exam can now be taken outside of the US

im from the Phils. thank you i will take that into consideration.

i have been applying for the tourist visa in the US though, so i cn take a vacation and visit my nephew and also take the exam. but then i got stuck in the employment part of the application since ive been working as a private nurse, cn that be a good reason to guarantee the embassy that il be coming back here in phils?

pls help im so clueless..

There is no guarantee but showing lots of reasons to return home like a letter from employer saying they expect you back to work on a certain date should help.

You don't have to come to the States just to take the exam (a large misconception), as long as you meet the minimum qualifications of the state's BON (any of the 50) you wish to start working upon getting the license, you could take the same exact exam whether you're in the Phils, in London, on a deserted island (assuming there's an authorized testing center there).

If you want to come to USA you can try a tourist visa, I suggest make a couple trips to Singapore first to show that you have history of returning to the Philippines. You may get denied the first couple of times, But keep on trying is all I can suggest.
