Anyone on here trying to get in to the ADN program at Neosho County in Ottawa?

Yes thank you BigRed!! I was thinking/planning on taking the required courses for the BSN as well. If its not too much to handle that is. I am so excited to get started though!

There is so much talk on AN about ADN vs BSN and employers favoring BSN grads that I figured for the long term it is probably best just to complete the BSN while working as an ADN grad. I like the looks of KU's online RN to BSN program. I know that once I graduate, and begin working, it will be hard to find the time to take the pre-reqs that are required just to start the RN-BSN program. The additional pre-reqs are Chemistry w/lab, English comp 2, Statistics, non-western culture course, humanities, and 10-12 credit hours of electives. Thankfully I have Chem 1, Comp 2, Physics, Stats, and economics done. So, I'm gonna suck it up and take a heavy load this fall and finish the rest. I don't think there are any clinicals this fall so that will help tremendously. Plus, the coming fall semester is only 3 credit hours for the nursing courses. I figured I'll try taking 12-15 credit hours this fall, pending that acceptance letter!

If you are considering ever getting your BSN I think it is great to have a head start. Take a look at the following PDF. It is a transfer equivalency for KU's RN to BSN program. Look at page 3 and 4.

I also know a couple people that are doing Fort Hays State University's online RN to BSN program. It is much cheaper than KU's but the pre-reqs are similar.

I went to the school yesterday and they told me in the financial aid office that Kelly was having trouble printing the letters off and then had to re label all the envelopes with the new address. I am thinking if the letter doesn't come on Monday then I am going to the school and bang on her door!! It isn't going to stop me from stalking the mailman tomorrow and Saturday! haha
