Has anyone been accepted to Ncc's nursing program. If so, how hard is it, and are you able to work while in the program?
Well I made a trip to NCC's library and they have all three of the textbooks on reserve! So for those of you who are on a budget (like myself) you could always buy the lab only material at the bookstore and use the reserve copies of the textbook during the study group (that we should form lol)
Btw, let's just hope they tell us that we are not going to need the ATI books or we are going to be b-r-o-k-e!
from what i hear, the ATI is mandatory. I was wondering the same about the mynursinglab because i have the fundamentals book that was passed down to me, but i don't have the med surg or davis drug guide. i figure since i have the fundamentals, i can do the reading before orientation!
omg i still can't believe orientation is next week!!!

When I went to register they told us to wait because they weren't sure they were going to use them this year.
Hey my name is Monique :) the three books on the syllabus that are required are at the library and are on reserve meaning we can take them out for an hour or so at a time and they will remain in the library.
1. Kozier&Erb's Fundamentals of Nursing:Concepts, Process & Practice 9th edition
2. Medical Surgical Nursing: Critical Thinking in Patient Care 5th edition
3. Handbook of Nursing Diagnosis 14th edition
I haven't personally visited the bookstore yet though so hopefully they have the lab only sections sold separately. I'm trying to minimize my spending for this fall, so I'm not planning on buying anything that I can use for free. I don't live far from NCC anyway so if I have to spend a few hours in the library, I will

the mynursinglab alone is 80$ so I'm looking for used versions of everything on amazon
