Has anyone been accepted to Ncc's nursing program. If so, how hard is it, and are you able to work while in the program?

@stanleyedmund
I gave in my application on March 11th. And same here, I think we should be getting acceptance/rejection letters the 4th week of April.

Yeah, They told me third week of April, but i dont want to hold my breath. Im thinking the fourth week as well. How did you do in your Pre-Req and TEAS?
I didn't do so well but I applied anyways because I had already paid for the TEAS exam so I might as well, you never know. I've done all my pre reqs for NCC except I have Medical Micro left.
for the 4 pre reqs:
A&p 1 i got an C+
Statistics C+
Eng A
Intro Psy A
For the TEAS I got a really bad grade, I got a 58. something.. but I stilled applied because they said they take anything from the proficient level and up. Also I know someone that got a C+ in A&p 1 and got a 59 on the TEAS, and they got accepted. Except they had all their pre reqs done even bio chem, and other electives. SO I still have hope.
I was going to take A&p 1 again but after I found out 2 people got the same grade as me and got into the program I changed my mind.
Also, I was at the ncc library printing out my TEAS transcript and this girl saw and asked me if I was applying to the nursing program, and I said yeah, and she told me not to worry how she got a lower grade than me on the TEAS and how she was already in her 2nd semester of nursing.
Hopefully I get in, if I don't I'm going to keep taking my pre reqs for my bachelors, and keep applying to the program. And this summer I'm taking a CNA course so I can get certified and start looking for a job somewhere in a hospital so I can get some experience before I eventually get accepted. Hopefully we get in though!
Yeah I asked a few times about the TEAS and they are looking for proficient and above. So you are okay there. And yeah are only looking at the four grades. I have all my others done as well except for medical micro, which I they won't let me take at night during the summer because it's being held for the mortuary science majors. I think that's a little ridiculous.
There re is no hurt in applying at all. If you get in, that's great!!! if not see what you think you might need to change as apply again in October!
Hopefully we get some good news this month!!
Yeah i was thinking of taking med micro during the summer but since I'm already taking this 6 week course to become a CNA in june.. I'm just gonna take it in the Fall if I don't get accepted. Yeah, this month is passing by sooooo slow for me because I'm so anxious to see if I got accepted or not !
@Taliamb
I know I put my application in March 10th I believe and I thought march would never end... Now it's April.... I just keep trying to put it out of my head!

Hi,
How are the instructors @ Ncc thinking about going there just passed my Nclex for LPN and want to do RN!
well we aren't in the nursing program yet, but I find NCC to be a very good school. especially the nursing program. I hear that once hospitals hear you came from ncc, they'll hire you right away because they know you are more prepared than other schools. The program is extremely vigorous though, and you will not be able to work a lot nor go out with your friends. So be ready to get married to nursing! And congrats on passing the nclex for the LPN!
Thank you! Yea the nursing program I did was intense that's why I want to get right back in before I lose my momentum! Lol
@K.W~Lpn
How long was your Lpn program ??
and where did you do the program??
