NCC Fall '13 Applicants

Hope everyone's doing well in their studies.

This is the obligatory "Did anyone get a letter or other notification from Nassau regarding their application for fall 13 yet?" post.

The suspense is maddening, I thought someone might have heard something I hadn't.

This might be a weird question. Was there more than one paper inside te envelope or was it just that one piece of paper with your interview date? I'd like to guess my response based on its thickness before even having to open the letter hehe

It has two pieces of paper!!! One is acceptance letter and the other is a chart if acceptable ways to identify yourself.

I got my letter this afternoon and have been tentatively accepted for September 2013. Didn't think I would get in because my TEAS score wasn't as high as I would have liked. I have an interview May 20th at 9am.

My interview is May 20 at 9am as well!! Congrats!

what was your gpa, teas score, and how many credits did you apply with?

Hi sachmo, My last teas score was 66, gpa about 3.5, I have a B.A with about 140 credits.

Sachmo, I'm curious as to what your stats are and whether you've heard anything good or bad?

And Liam82, wondering why you didn't go for an accelerated program since you already have a BA? Just curious, nbd.

I actually did apply to a few accelerated programs and was either waitlisted or rejected. I tried. I want to be a nurse and will do what I need to do in order to obtain an RN. I'll get a BSN after a few years of experience, or just get it online.

I applied to LIU and got in, but the tuition was way too much for me. The CUNY programs were extra competitive as well. NCC has a great program and I'm sure I will be trained well!!!

My interview is on May 21st! I'm SO excited! Good luck to everyone!

does anyone know how the interview process works?

Based on previous threads I do not think it is actually a one on one interview. You basically write a small paragraph on why you want to become a nurse and I believe you reiterate what u wrote to someone. After that you register for class and u get information on what u need as far as uniforms supplies books etc.

Oh. Mine had what to bring to bring for indentification such as ss card and driver license. When is your interview? Mine is may 20 at 9.
