NC A&T ABSN 2017

Hi all, I'm planning to apply for NCAT ABSN program and I wanted to see who else is going to apply. Also would you mind posting your GPA and TEAS Test scores so I can compare? My GPA, unfortunately, is a mere 3.1 and my TEAS Test score was 80%. I'm debating if I should retake it.

I'm pleased to see another ABSN applicant! I've seen you in previous threads did you apply to the WSSU program as well?!

Anyways our g.p.a is similar I have a 3.2 and only scored a 82 on my teas! I asked the proctor that day if I should rethink retaking it and she said the decision was up to me but that the school looked at other things on our application as well!

Have you you completed all the preuiqustes and the NURS Course at A&T?

I applied to NCAT Absn. My Gpa is 3.8 and my teas test was pass the requirement, I don't remember what my score was. I recently had an interview, I'm just waiting on a decision. I am taking one preq and I'm also in a class to get my CNA certificate, inorder to have all requirements to start in January.

Did any of you guys attend the info session? ? I'm also applying for spring 2017. I'm pretty much done with everything but the CNA course and the global health course I'm currently taking. And I'm also thinking about retaking my TEAS test.

I wonder if they look at other specs aside from just the gpa and TEAS.

Anyone know how long it takes for the school to make a decision? And how many students are accepted into the program?

Hey I also plan applying for the 2017 ABSN program. I haven't attended the info session yet. They are currently reviewing my transcripts to what transfers but I know I will have to take the global health course. How is that ? Is it offered online. MY GPA is a 3.1 and I took the teas in 2014 , got a 67.3 but its over what they require..and I'll be done with my cna's in august . I wonder what's the typical schedule like for this program . Do you know if classes will be everyday ? Good luck to us .

I want to apply to WSSU but its too far of a drive, lol, greensboro is my limit. I'm done with all pre req's but I haven't taken the NURS course yet. I have a 3.1 and scored a 67.3 on teas. not what i wanted but its over what they require . I took my teas back in 2014

Does anyone know the grading scale for A&T nursing program ?

I attended the info session in february. Judging from the interview, the consider the whole package. It is good to highlight strengths in application essay. I applied probably in march or april and had an interview a week ago. They will send me a decision letter in couple of weeks. I think last cohort was less than 15 students. It may vary each year.

The class is offered online. You should try to register for the class for fall semester. I heard the days are long, typically 8-5pm. I'm not sure

I think 80% is required to pass but they typically like their students to be around the 85 range.
