Navy FY2020 nurse practitioner accession

Published

As we all know, NP billets were wiped out last year and a few of us have been waiting for the next opportunities. Comment here if you're among this group planning or awaiting openings. Also any new info from recruiters about how things are looking could be beneficial.

Ghost town here. Spoke to my recruiter last week and she still has no word on new numbers. Hard to believe we are into september and FY20 hasn't been solidified. Anyone else hear anything? Any other NPs trying to go Navy?

I am but I'm also exploring the Air Force

Per my recruiter, navy is not looking good for fnp 2020. This could be 2 years in a row they recruit zero FNPs.

Specializes in ER and FNP.

Someone posted the navy quotas for FY2020 and they said 0 for FNP. I hope that changes for you. My first Choice last year was navy but they shut down FNP recruiting as I was going to board. I hope it changes for you

Hoping for sure. Though I saw that pic. It’s misleading as the numbers noted are for fy19. Fy20 has nothing listed. Though I’m getting am Air Force package as well now.

Good luck! After last year I put in for army and was accepted. I commission next week.
