Hey guys just wanted to get a thread started so we could all celebrate or commiserate together through this process. As of 11/29, my recruiter has said no packages have been selected from any sub specialty due to the NCP. He said we should know before the end of Dec for the next group. I have applied for ED/Trauma anyone else applied and if so for what? Best of luck to everyone.

Ive also applied as ER/Trauma.

Lil bit about myself:

Prior enlisted here with 5 yrs active duty. Been an RN since may. I work in the ER at a level 3 trauma center

Hi everyone. 10 years prior service, 6 years Med Surg experience. My package went up for November boards. Good luck and hope everyone makes it! From what I'm hearing I should hear something by the end of December. But it looks like you guys are waiting on October boards.

Yes the board hasn't released Oct, Nov, or Dec selections yet. I'm assuming they will be reviewed together in a large pool and selected from there but that's just a guess. Anyone's recruiter updated them at all?

Hey!!!! I'm credentialed for Critical Care, and have been in the ICU about a year and a half. I was active duty for 5 years.

I'm a little confused. My package was submitted at the end of November, presumably for a December 15th board. Does that sound accurate? I was hoping to commision by 31DEC, but soon figured that would not occur. Do y'all think board results will be out at the end of the month? That would make life sooooo much easier for me. I was expecting results a few days before the January 15th board.

It's possible but I would just prepare yourself for slower results. My package went to boards in October, and I think others here are Oct/Nov. From what we've all been told it seems this is fairly common this time of year. Fingers crossed we'll hear something by year end but I wouldn't be surprised if it slips into Jan or Feb at this rate. And from what I've been told you'll just hear if you've been selected by then (yes/no). You probably wouldn't commission or start working on orders (duty station, ODS, etc) for several weeks after that when the actual detailer contacts you.

Im okay with knowing something, anything before the end of the year. Time to sit and wait some more.

You all should find out towards the end of December and if selected, your final select letter early January. I remember when I applied around this time in 2014, I can imagine how impatient you guys are. just stay positive. GOODLUCK!

Thank you! I'm very anxiously awaiting nice to know that we are in the same boat as previous years and that we should have answers soon!

Update: October Board Results were released!! I was selected and I'm so excited to start this journey. Hoping the best for all of you!
