This topic is in regards to the Navy Corpsman and Army medics that have met the military equivalence to challenge the LVN board and become certified. I myself am in that situation right now. I am currently studying for the NCLEX PN and was wondering what are some good sources of study material out there to better prep for the exam.

If you can find LPN|LVN Gold DVD program you will be guaranteed to pass.I did RN Gold. There was a total of 10 exams. You just do them over and over until you start passing. My daughter did a combo of books and online tests which I paid for. She passed 75 questions as did I.Good luck you can do it. My son is a Corpsman also.

I went to review the LPN gold and the only issue I can find is 1999 and for RN 2000 issue, are there any updated versions out? If you know!
Hmmm I believe they were taken over by a co doing online questions. Cannot remember the name. If you have access to VA Hospital library I believe they might have the disc. You can also just do questions from a book. Do so many a day and vary all the subject matter. Impossible to answer all of them. Remember the LPN is responsible for the aide or PCA and so must know how to direct them. A lot of my questions focused on what I wd tell someone to do. Don't be nervous and vary your knowledge. Make sure to know what you can and cannot do. In other words what the RN must do ex. Sign off orders, hang blood but LPN can monitor, etc.
Yes, remember the answer is always what they think you should do, not necessarily what you do in the real world. Lol You will become good at answering for the test if you do question after question.

So can anyone give me some more detailed info to find out how the process works and where to call? I am hoping to test in CA. I was a corpsman in the Navy and have my CNA, but heard about this and am all for becoming an LPN/RN/Midwife as soon as possible. Thanks :)
