Navarro College LVN Fall 2023

Hey ? out there!!

I didn't see thread for LVN program at Navarro for Fall 2023. Anyone else checking their emails 100x a day anticipating the acceptance or rejection letter??

I didn't get accepted in the ADN program but I didn't get the rejection letter either.   I had to call and it ended up being  a month after the letter was supposed to reach me!

So I am hoping for an ACCEPTANCE  letter on time this go around! ?

Also, classes were 5 days a week!

Girl!! The easiest classes can be made hard with the wrong professor, especially when it comes to lectures!  My A&P professor this last time was THE WORST!  

5 days?! Woah...Welp, I guess I better get used to it!  I know for me studying and retaining is gonna be hard.   When I started back in in 95 (?) I was a much better student!    I got you by 6 years on you btw, but I am glad to find someone else at least in the same decade as me, lmbo!  When I went to that ADN information section in September, it was soooo many kids just out of high school in there! 

Here's hoping and praying we will have LVN behind our names next August!?

Hey Misty @JD_Mist!

I compared my last program to this one and the load is heavier, meaning we are taking more classes! I also think that this is a hybrid course bc some of our classes are online! 

I hope so because then we won't have to be on campus all week....

Hey!  

Wow.....so I see, what, 6 courses scheduled and only 2 meet but we do meet all week, right?  Also what's with that course VNSG-1327-41.  It shows 8-11pm!  I wonder is that a typo.  Surely we don't have a class last that long, plus on my schedule is same time as another class.  

Have you received  the Orientation packet yet?  I been checking my email like crazy for the last week......not being productive at all at work, LOL!

I guess we have to either wait on packet, but most likely we won't know our true schedule until orientation...

Yep, you're right about not knowing until orientation.   But now I have a glimpse at what to expect regarding work schedule.

Hey there!  I got mine Monday too! 
it's actually the 2nd one I received.  I got my fingerprints done some years back when I applied for Hillsboro college ADN program.   
 

I am gonna call to make sure I'm still good.

Also is it just me feeling a little like this program is starting off very unorganized?

Hey there, how are you!

I went to pick up my t-shirt and found out we only have 12 people in our Midlothian class.  That's such a small group and that could be good or not, LOL.  

Also found out the book prices.  Not sure if I wanna do all physical books or get both e-books and physical ($393 vs $248)

Which are you going to do?  Ebook bundle alone was $270 I think.

I am so shocked it's only 12 people, LOL!

I thought the books were going to be close to $600, but it's a relief that their not too expensive ?.

I'm going to go with the physical books...
