NAU- Tucson Traditional BSN (Fall 2011 Hopefuls)

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Are there any other's planning to apply to NAU's traditional BSN for the Tucson campus for this fall? I just moved back to AZ after a year in Iowa and was planning on doing U of A's 2nd degree program but since it changed to an MSN and the estimated cost is 40K I have switched gears. I actually just discovered that NAU has the Tucson program and I am so glad I did. My back up plan after I decided U of A's program was a crock (IMHO) was Pima. Since I already have a BA in English and Pima's wait is so long that wasn't an ideal situation either.

So, looks like I have everything complete except the HESI A2 and maybe nutrition. I'm just finishing NTS154 at Pima but it doesn't look like that class will transfer for the nutrition requirement. I'm going to fight that though because Rio Salado has a 200 level nutrition that uses the exact same text and has the same course outline as the class I just took at Pima.

Well - good luck to everyone. Maybe I'll see you in a classroom in the fall.

i do not see the major/minor tab what web page are you viewing?

when you log into "my nau" the upper right hand box is louie info. there are two rows of things listed (see below). in the past when i clicked on the major/ minor tab it has not held any info. they may just load it for everyone but i find it interesting since it has a campus listed. i only applied for the tucson campus though so perhaps that's why it has a campus listed for me. i was told mid to late april so i'm not going to call and bug people but i am curious.

It is posted on mine.

Did you have Tucson as your 1st/ only choice? I still think we won't hear anything for sure until next week but because of the campus thing I find it interesting. I only have one campus as an option. It was Tucson or nothing for me but it makes me wonder if they've made decisions and just haven't mailed anything yet.

Guess we'll find out soon enough. Worst case is two weeks.

I put Tucson as my only choice. I'm waiting to see if more people reply. I don't think I can wait 1-2 more weeks lol

Very, very, interesting. Yes, hopefully more people will chime in.

So I'm one of the hopefuls for the fall and have been on pins and needles since sending everything in. I checked my stuff in Louie and I'm seeing the following (the formatting didn't come through). I'm hoping this is good news!!!!

Mighty kale,

So what did you put for your campus preference? I don't know what to think until we hear from someone on the flag thread that has flag Listed for their campus.

I have a hold on my account do to needed proof of immunization. I applied to Tucson and Yuma. Mine is blank. I wonder if we could contact someone in the program already to see what their Louie says.

As for those who are seeing the info on their Louie, see if you can enroll on any classes for nursing... and let us know.

I applied for Tucson (first choice) and Flagstaff (second). Crossing fingers!

The campus listed in my account is Tucson North

Beege, no not possible to enroll. Nursing students don't register themselves anyway. At least in Tucson the advisor does it. Are you taking classes at NAU already? I have had no immunizations (at least none since the usual you get for high school) and have not submitted any immunization info and I do not have a hold for immunizations. I had holds previously showing due to needing to get transcripts sent.

"All NAU students on the Flagstaff Mountain Campus born after 12/31/56 must submit proof of immunity to measles (rubeola). Please contact Fronske Health Center at (928) 523-6359 for details about how to clear this hold.

Block ALL enrollment activity"

I'm going to get that taken care of this morning, I haven't seen it until yesterday. Hopefully something will show up then, if not thats going to be a thorn in my side until an official letter comes.

Beege, that's weird? If anything I would think that's a good sign for you though since getting shots and medical documents will be the next step for those accepted.

My application status said "admitted" two days and now says "complete" instead so I guess I have my own thorn. If I don't get in I don't know what more I could do to better my ap short of retaking freshman English (my one B). Have I mentioned I hate waiting.
