Hi my name is Alicia, I was wondering if any NAU FNP nurses who were accepted to start Summer/fall 2021 program? Would like to connect with you. Looking forward to talk to you soon! ?

Hello!
I have been accepted into the program and am planning on starting over the Summer! I am currently living in Tucson, AZ :) I am so excited to start the program!
After I received my initial acceptance letter, I emailed my signed contract and intent to enter into the program. Have you guys completed any other requirements yet?
Can't wait to get to know everyone!
Hi! Awesome! Nice to meet you ? I also emailed my contract. I emailed the coordinator lady yesterday just to double check and she said for now that's all she needed. I will just keep an eye out for any new emails. Hopefully when we have our orientation we can see each other virtually, for now! ?
Awesome! Thank you so much! I’m always paranoid about making sure I get everything done :) I will definitely be keeping my eye out for new emails!
Looking forward to orientation!
Same here! I know exactly what you mean! ?

Hi ladies, I live in Tucson and am considering applying for the FNP Summer session. From what I am reading it is all on line and they find your clinical rotation for you, is that correct? Also, why would you only be accepted part time as opposed to full time, is it because we work? I know that GCU allows you to be accepted as fulltime even if you work, so not sure why NAU does not. Sooo, if you are part time how long does it take to complete the entire curriculum? Thanks in advance for your replies.
Hello,
Yes, they do assist with clinical sites and they have to be in AZ. I was going to start to see later on in the program about clinical site options allowed close to where I live. I wanted to proactively reach out to places to help facilitate that between the sites and the university to stay local if I can. Honestly, I am not sure about the differences in the criteria of being accepted to full or part-time option. Personally, I chose the part-time Summer start and discussed it in the admissions questions because that was the session I was interested in. I work full-time and the schedule worked for me, I also wanted to start as soon as I could. The part-time option is 3 years.
Hope this helps! ?
Thanks and yes it helped ?
