Hi, everyone! I thought I'd start this thread to connect with anyone applying to the NAU BSN program for the spring 2018 semester. I'm only applying to the Tucson program, but feel free to share your campus preferences and any advice, questions, stats, etc. Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from fellow applicants! Hi miam0, my advice is to focus solely on A&P - it makes up the entire Kaplan science section. Make sure you spend extra time studying the respiratory, neuro, cardio, immune systems because a good chunk of the questions will cover these areas.

• Khan Academy is also really helpful. They've got really informative videos specific to every system, and the instructor explains everything clearly and concisely. Take notes from the videos and make more flashcards.
  
• Crash Course makes fun and informative A&P videos
  
• If your A&P instructor used powerpoint slides, review them.
  
• Answer the questions at the end of the chapters in your A&P textbook.
  
• Review study sets on Quizlet
  
• A&P for Dummies is good for a brief overview - check your local library before spending money.
  
• There's a ton of info scattered throughout All Nurses as well
  
• Check out this blog - What to Know: Taking the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam (2016)
  
• And this one - Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam (2011)
  
• YouTube Kaplan Vlogs have some useful tips as well
  
• LAST BUT NOT LEAST - Give yourself plenty of study time before the exam.

Hi KayDubBSN,

Although this advice came after I took the exam it was good hearing because those were all resources that I used! I got an 89 overall, and have a 4.0 GPA. I am applying to the Flagstaff location as my first choice and the Tucson as my second, but I really would love to stay in Flag. Even when you hear that other people were accepted with similar stats you can't help but still be nervous! I think you all should be very confident in your applications though!

Your scores are great, miam0! I'm feeling confident for everyone posting on this thread right now. I'm hoping that decisions come quickly. I turned my app in over a month ago, so I feel like I've been waiting forever already!

Hey guys! I was just wondering if any of you have any classes in progress? I can't believe it hasn't even been one week since the application was due... it feels like forever!

I knocked out my last prereq class over the summer. Do you have anything still in progress?

This Friday (10/13) marks four weeks since our apps were due! My fingers are crossed that we find out our statuses this week!

Same here! I'm nervous and excited all in one and I am finding it hard to focus on school right now because i just keep thinking about nursing.

I still have a couple of classes in progress! I'm so anxious though, the wait is killing me! i really hope we find out soon! Does anybody else find it strange that there has only been a couple people on this forum? I was expecting there to be a lot of people commenting!

i feel like a lot of people don't know about this forum, but i think about 170 students applied. I am so nervous but excited to find out.
