NAU accelerated BSN 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everybody! I just turned in my application for the summer 2018 ABSN program and thought I would start this page to see who else is applying. I took the Kaplan a couple days ago and got an 86 overall but a 65 on the science so now I'm a little worried!

Living in FLG is pretty great! I love the mountains, playing outdoors and having 4 seasons so its perfect for me. There are lots of really good people here, fun community events and yummy restaurants. Cost of living and rent is high here, which can make it hard to really make a living... but to me its worth it!!

I had a 87 on the Kaplan, an 85 on the science portion and a 4.0 in all of my prerequisites that were all completed before applying. I applied last year but had too many classes in progress and a lower Kaplan score so I didn't get in, so for those of you who didn't get in this year... I'm sorry!! And definitely try again next year!

Congrats to all who got in! And to those who didn't, don't give up hope and keep trying! I'm so excited to meet everyone and to get started with the program. As for stats, I got an 88% overall on Kaplan, 80% science, and prereq GPA of 3.9. Some questions on the science portion were a little confusing- it's hard to study for! Does anyone have any suggestions on where to live in FLG that is affordable and near the campus? I'm moving down from Alaska and have never been to the area before. If anyone wants a roommate, let me know! Congrats again!

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know or would be kind enough to share any info on how important it is to have medical experience and community work

for the NAU (Norther AZ University) ASNB (accelerated nursing) program?. Are there anyone in here who was accepted without having those

two requirements?

Thank you so much in advance! any information you shae is appreciated

I wouldn't say it's particularly important as far as being accepted into the program goes. They look pretty exclusively at pre-req GPA and Kaplan score; how many pre-reqs you still have to complete also plays a factor if you have a lot.

Hello, I know this post is very old, but I am an alternate for ABSN program this year. I was wondering if anyone on here was on the waitlist and was accepted?
