Anyone applying for the ABSN in National University in San Diego for the October cohort. I just took my TEAS and did not do very well. I trying to find out if I am able to retake the TEAS to better my score and submit that before the start date in October.
Anyone out there applying for the same program know, or anyone that's been through it have any information on how it works? I've e-mail the nursing department but it seems really hard to get feedback at a descent amount of time.
Thank You!

Hello, I just took TEAS there too! And this is what it says in the e-mail they sent us before the TEAS:
TEAS attempts PRIOR to your test date are allowed. You MUST submit a score (of your choice) on the day of your scheduled exam, whether it is your score from that day or from a previous attempt. We will only count the score that you submit on that day.
Unfortunately, it looks like you can not submit a different score for that cohort...

Hey Incurtis!
I just applied to cohort 44 as well and didn't do so well on the TEAS test. By any chance do you know if and when we can view our essay scores? Also, by when would we be receing our acceptance or denial letters? GOOD LUCK!! I hope we both get in!!

Hi
I emailed ------------------- who's a nursing contact that I've been in communication with and have not heard back about when we'll know our easy scores. From what I've heard they don't really give you your essay results unless you ask for it. As far as acceptance/decline letters i think it'll be most likely be around end of July/beginning of August. I hope we both get in too. I'll let you know if i hear back from --------------------l.
Hey,
I've emailed him and called him and still haven't gotten a reply from him... I wonder if he's not receiving our emails or just super busy at the moment. Oh wow, that's a long time from now By any chance do you know if we were not to get into this cohort would we still be able to apply for the July cohort 45? I had asked my previous advisor and she said we would find out before the deadline and if we were to not get accepted we would be able to apply, but now... a different advisor told me the complete opposite... she said we wouldn't find out before the july cohort 45 deadline and we wouldn't be able to apply to that cohort. Now I'm just confused and super scared I messed up a chance to get in. Also, when you say you did bad on your TEAS what do you mean? How bad? Just because I had a friend who did "bad" because she got an 80 on her TEAS. lol
The advisors are not very helpful at least mine is not! She is not very well informed when it comes to the Nursing program, so it's really hard to get a straight answer from her. From the previous applicants they've told me that I'm most likely not going to make the deadline for cohort 45, which would really stink if I didn't get in. My GPA is 3.8 so i feel pretty good about that, I just screwed up the TEAS - go 75 and everyone that has gotten in said they at least had a minimum of 80%. So I don't know! What about you, how did you do? I also don't know how I did on the essay which is 20% of our acceptance so that's freaking me out too...lol! I feel like I did pretty well on the essay but I just don't know. There are a lot of unknowns...haha!
He is either very super busy or just ignoring our emails...haha! I just hope we hear back soon!
The advisor I had before was amazing, it's a bummer she no longer works there. Oh no, that really sucks; if I would have known I wouldn't of applied to this cohort . I have a 3.1 GPA and got a 69 on my TEAS which is horrible. Like I said, I wasn't going to apply but I met national students at work who got in with a 65 on the TEAS and another person with a 69, so I figured I would give it a shot. The only thing that worries me is not being able to apply to the next cohort since I've been taking a remediation course for the TEAS and I know I could get my TEAS score up. Either way, I'm staying optimistic!! Everything happens for a reason and if people have gotten in with a 65 and 69 maybe... possibly... I would too?? lol If you hear anything though regarding essays or acceptance/denial letters let me know please!!!
Has any of you heard anything from the Department yet?
