National University, SD October 2015 Cohort 44

U.S.A. California

Anyone applying for the ABSN in National University in San Diego for the October cohort. I just took my TEAS and did not do very well. I trying to find out if I am able to retake the TEAS to better my score and submit that before the start date in October.

Anyone out there applying for the same program know, or anyone that's been through it have any information on how it works? I've e-mail the nursing department but it seems really hard to get feedback at a descent amount of time.

Thank You!

Not yet. I've been anxiously checking my email almost 5 times a day during this month. They said we would hear something by July, but I honestly wouldnt be surprised if we hear from them early to mid august. Good luck to us!

I have not heard anything yet. I heard that the LA cohorts got their acceptance letter or email. I've been checking my e-mail and school portal everyday and still nothing! The waiting is killing me..:-P

I have also been checking my application status multiple times a day even though I know I will get an email once it is updated. I am guessing we will find out mid August. When I check the site for other cohorts it seems like most of them find out in the middle of month after the following cohort deadline. Cohort 43 found our on May 14th and our deadline was April 17th. So for us... Cohort 55 deadline was July 17th so most likely we will hear the second week of August. I think they like to wait until after the deadline for the next cohort, maybe to avoid an influx of applications from people who were just denied. I am hoping we find out earlier. I am dying over here.

I spoke to my advisor a few days ago and she said we would find out mid August :/ By any chance have any of you gotten your essay scores I feel like that will at least give me a better look at whether I have a chance or not. lol I really hope we find out soon so I can finally get a full night sleep, I'm so anxious I can barely sleep. lol

I remember reading a few threads and people were saying you can get your score if you email the nursing department and ask them for it. But im sure we all know how easy it is to get a hold of someone there...

I had a feeling they would notify us later than expected. I know they're doing their best, but they really need to get it together. A lot of people are expecting a reply this month. Most are frustrated with the nursing department already, and considering how expensive national is, the least they can do is answer our emails in a timely manner.

Well according to my advisor this is the most applicants she's seen apply to one cohort. She said they're even backed up for the next cohort. Which scares me because if what she said is true then that just slims my chances of getting in :/ Anyways, I'm staying positive! Good luck to us all!!

Ugh, I had a feeling there were a lot of applicants this time. My GPA is 3.96 but I messed up and didn't do very well on the TEAS. When I did my practice tests I did bad in math so that is the only thing I studied and then of course when I actually did the TEAS I did awesome in math and ended up doing really bad in language. I didn't even think about studying that area because that is usually where I do well. I wish I could find out my essay score. I am guessing they aren't even done grading the essays. That has to be the part that makes the application process take so long since the TEAS score and GPA are automatically available.

Hello everyone! Yesterday my "submitted" status changed to "Final Review." Did this happen to anyone else?

My status still says "submitted"... Nerve wracking.

Mine still says "submitted" as well. I've been refreshing the page over and over throughout the day in hopes to see it change :dead:

Did you see ----------------'s email saying we'll find out by the end of the day Monday? I'm so nervous. Good luck everyone!

Sure did! I'm gonna be on edge until then. Sending good juju to you all!
