Hi everyone, I applied to cohort 39 too. I will be taking the TEAS on the 31st but plan to take it at SDSU before then to see how I do. Really nervous but hoping for the best. :)

Hi all,
I also applied to cohort 39. This is my second time applying and I am keeping my fingers crossed. The essay portion is pretty intense so I have been trying to brainstorm. I have my essay and TEAS test date through National University on January 28th. Good luck to all of you!
The minimum acceptance score for cohort 38 was 83.49. Higher than the past few cohorts. The point breakdown is:
Attempts: 20 points
Science GPA: 30 points
TEAS: 30 points
Essay: 20 points
Hi Jennaready86,
I heard that one of the most popular times to apply is October, cohort 38, since that is when many people are applying to regular Semester schools (SDSU, USD, UCSD, etc.) so maybe that is why the minimum acceptance score was higher that normal... Do you happen to know, or mind sharing, what your essay score was from cohort 38? I am pretty nervous about the essay.. I take the essay test this Thursday! I already took the TEAS at SDSU a few months back.
What did you score on your TEAS? Ya, my essay score was a 14/20. Good luck Thursday, I am sure you will do great :)
Thanks Jennaready! I can use all the encouragement I can get! I got 80 on the TEAS and I have a cumm of 3.75 GPA on the science classes. This whole process is so nerve racking!

just an FYI that i found out from my advisor is that we can only take the TEAS once every 60 days . I too has myself taking the teas at SDSU on the 25th just to get an idea but he said whatever i scored that day would be the one i would have to submit since it wouldn't be 60 days from National's testing date.
how did your do on your teas and essay? What was the prompt they gave you.
I have a question for anyone who has taken the Essay test... do you write in Word? and if so, does it underline in red when you misspell a word?
So I took the essay test today and I will answer my own question to help anyone else out taking the essay test soon .. you DO write in word and you ARE allowed to use spell check. You are NOT allowed to use a dictionary or thesaurus... that should be a given, but hope that helps!
