Has anyone had any luck with applying at National University for their nursing program? I applied back in Oct 06 and have been waiting to hear from them. They are supposed to notify in 3 months. I have called and called and written email upon emails with no response really. Please, if anyone has applied and received some sort of letter, I would greatly appreciate your reply.
Thanks
Twilight...I would LOVE that! Although that would be super stressfull because I've got a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 1/2 year old that I would have to find full time care for. My oldest will start Kindergarten this next year and I am planning on her being gone full day so I can do school! LOL However, I would never complain about getting bumped up into an earlier cohort! Keeping my fingers crossed, but my grades are pretty good, so I don't know if that is how they judge who gets bumped up or not!?!? I guess I'll just have to wait and find out, huh?
Have fun doing all of the preps for your cohort! Must be extremely exciting and the best 'early' Christmas gift ever! =)
Oh man! Well I know whatever happens will be the best for you and your kids!!! I have no idea how they bump people up into cohorts...the fairest way I can think of is taking the most qualified applicant and going down the list. Yeah, I just emailed my advisor and she told me that I need to take three classes. Easily done before the orientation in February too! They have Spanish for the workplace and I don't know why advanced Spanish would not count for that...I need to email my advisor and ask...I think it should but oh well.
Same situation here hiphippo, but I know of at least 2 others who have not recieved any confirmation or denials yet. I guess they are sending out emails in small batches each day or only sending emails to the people on top of the list for now. I just want to know my verdict so that I can move on with whatever the outcome. I am constantly checking my email and this forum just to see if any others have got any info about acceptance. Hopefully we hear from them soon.
Murse and hiphippo, hang in there! I hope you guys get something soon! I really would like you guys to join me! Don't give up!
Jammy: I know what you mean! When I went to the first forum they had, they said 18 months. But when I went to the actual Nursing Forum they said 22 months. Verdict? 22 month program. Although, there are a few classes that need to be taken for the BSN that are not nursing classes. You can do this before or after you start. Hope that helps!
Hey guys! I finally received my packet! Although when I opened it there were only three pages...I was expecting a bit more. Has anyone else received there packets? It says something about the Health and Immunization form yet it was not included. Do I have to request this or did they just forget to put it in?
I also had a question for the people already in the Nursing Program. In my packet I have my schedule. I am not sure if they still have the same format but what was your week like for NSG205/205A? What days did you go to school, etc? I am really hoping to make it to my cousin's wedding during that class and I really hope it is possible! Thanks for your input!
Hiphippo, Murse...have you heard anything yet? I would give them a call if you haven't.
Hi Twilight_ Saturn,
I am a new member and I have been reading your posts about the ILR260 challenge exam, I am suppose to take it tomorrow and was wondering if you could remember any specific things that I should brush up on? Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, and congratulations on getting accepted, I am hoping to apply in December for the May 2010 cohort.
Sincerely,
Nanann220

Yeah, that is one thing I am scared about...I really hope that jobs will be available (sign on bonuses and all...am I asking too much? lol!) soon and hopefully the economy will be much better by the time we are through with school! Who knows ALIinSD...you might get bumped up into our cohort!! That would be great huh?
