Has anyone had any luck with applying at National University for their nursing program? I applied back in Oct 06 and have been waiting to hear from them. They are supposed to notify in 3 months. I have called and called and written email upon emails with no response really. :banghead: Please, if anyone has applied and received some sort of letter, I would greatly appreciate your reply.

Thanks

Wow thanks! Although the 3.53 is my prereq GPA :uhoh21: That would be great if it was first come first serve! I would really like to get into the January instead! I think I will be the same way! I get so anxious with these kinds of things! I was also able to schedule my TEAS and week later so now my date is the 18th! Yay more time to study! :D

:[ I hate the fact that my prereq GPA is incredibly low. Taking Micro,Anatomy1+2 at san marcos is good and bad. They count Lab+lecture as one grade so even though I had a higher lab than my lecture or vice versa It would not show up because they count the grade as a whole =/. If I do not get in I am contemplating Retaking my sciences somewhere else, but then again I will be losing that 20% for taking my classes over again. :scrying:

Hey Murse I know what you mean. I took Anatomy at Palomar and I got a B. I know for a fact that if it was graded seperately I would have received an A for the lab section of it! That made me mad! I am sure that if I could, I would have the teacher write them a letter stating that! Oh well...

twilight saturn, you went to palomar?! Me too! I wonder if you were in any of my classes or had the same teachers I did...

I took Anatomy Fall '07 with Dr. Carpenter, Physiology Spring '08 with Dr. Albistegue-DuBois and Microbiology Fall '08 with Professor Dowey...

Hey! I had both of the same teachers but I had Alderson for Micro! Although it looks like I was a semester behind you the whole time! Lol! It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do...but I don't know why...my mom is an RN!

Hahaha that is too funny because sooo many people in my cohort have mom's that are RN's and their whole lives their moms told them to be a nurse and they were all like "yeah right" and then look where they ended up...LOL! So good choice! :D

Yeah! I went from starting out as an astronomy major to business then real estate to nursing...lol! I seriously have no idea why it took me so long to figure it out...hahaha!

What's poppin people? Hi twilight, hi pink!

Hey banana! Just studying for the TEAS exam! How about you?

Hi everyone! I'm new to this but I've read these forums before. I just took the teas test and did okay. I don't think I did well on my essay. Does anyone know what the passing score is for the teas essay?

Hey hiphippo! I am not sure what the passing score is for the essay but I know that it is graded on a rubric by two different professors at National. I don't even think there is a pass/fail for the essay...it is just whoever scores the highest...but I do not know how they assign the percentage points (out of the 30%) to the rubric score. May I ask what your essay question was? I am taking it this Friday and I am very nervous!

Hi everyone! I got into the accelerated second bachelor's program, and will be starting in January. I'm pretty scared though! Is there anybody in a recent cohort who would care to share what their experience has been so far? What is the NCLEX pass rate? Where do you do clinicals? I am just hoping I made the right decision to go to National over another school. Iknow that it's quick (and expensive) but how do you feel the quality of your education is? A little background on me: I was in OU's program last year but failed clinical in the second semester so this past year I've been trying to rebuild my confidence and became a CNA. I guess I'm just looking for reassurance because I can't afford to fail again!!

Thanks!
