National University San diego July 2013 cohort 35

Published

Hi guys,

I applied for the BSN program at National University July 2013 cohort 35 and I am in the process of waiting to hear if I got accepted or not. Unfortunately,my TEAS score were not as good.I did my TEAS in March. I am so stressed out and the wait is killing me. I was just wondering? is there anyone else out there who applied for the July intake and is also waiting to hear the outcome?I hope so. And have you heard anything yet? Please write back and let me know how you all are doing.

Thanks guys.

Anyone heard anything yet? This wait is killing me for sure!

Hi Yohamommy1021, Thanks a lot for the break down on how to calculate the gpa I was wondering how do we add the TEAS to the total we get from the sciences? Also does anyone know what was the percentage cut off for the last cohort was? I just want to have an idea so that I can know what to expect am really having a nervous breakdown over hear waiting for God knows what the answer is!!!!and when we are ever gonna hear from them.

For teas points you divide by 100 then you multiply by 30. I heard the cut off points for most cohorts are in the mid to low 80s. Do you guys think we'll knw this week? I try to not think about it but its hard not to. I guess all we can do is hope for the best :)

Hey yogamommy1021, trust me its hard not to think about it:( I eat, drink, sleep and awake up thinking about this!I dont know what else to do to keep my brain occupied! When I asked I was told we should hear from them end of April. I think thats why my mind is not relaxing. But all we can do is hope for the very best. I just need to know right now so that I can move on with plan B which at this point in time is non-existence........

A good friend of mine got in last cohort with a 76, 4.0 gpa, and she didn't finish the essay. The TEAS and essay are worth more than the GPA, which is great for those of us who didn't put their all into it a few years back.

I applied to this cohort as well, and still waiting. I had a good TEAS score of 83, and my GPA is a 3.5.

Anyone hear anything back from them yet? Thanks

Hello future nursing prospects and friends!! I also applied to this upcoming July cohort, and I've heard from a friend who is in cohort 33 that we probably won't be getting answers until the first 2 weeks of May. :( EVEN though you're hearing the end of April because the same thing happened to her. They have a rep for lagging. TeenaN, your friend got a score of 76/100 on her total program admittance or just her TEAS? That's definitely not reassuring for people that did bad on TEAS, but have a high GPA (me :( lol)

Me being one of them who did badly in the TEAS:crying2: now the wait is until MAY? Am gonna lose my mind b4 then!:(!Why do they have to make us suffer this long?

turttleB, don't take my word for it! I'm purely going from what my two friends said from two cohorts ago. It's a bittersweet emotion that we are all in the same boat and can release our thoughts on this board. Just breathe and hope for the best and don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out your way.

cquachie, thanks for the encouragement am glad for this thread at least it helps me feel am not a lone.

Hello everyone, I also think that we will probably not get answers until at least the first week of May. Many of the threads posted by previous cohorts showed that they got their results much later than anticipated. I'm usually very patient but I've turned into a toddler that wants to know the answer NOW! lol sorta kidding. But no really, everytime I get an email alert from my phone I think OMG this is it and then it turns out its spam :banghead: . LOL Does anyone know how many people applied to this cohort?

I too am another applicant in this waiting game. I got a 75% on TEAS [the science killed me at only 45%]. I am not very hopeful as I have 2 C's for A&P I & II and labs will be assigned the C's as well which hurts me with 4. I like another poster took these courses back when my priorities were not straight. It was 7 & 8 years ago as a high school senior. I petitioned NU to retake the courses since they are expired in the public system but they declined the petition. I do not agree with this because I have spoke to other NU students who purposely fail the nursing pre-reqs if they feel they are getting a C just so they can retake them in order to get a A or B. I believe this sends the wrong message to students. If I do not get into July cohort I will be retaking the sciences at Grossmont, but will have to remain at NU in order to keep my full time student status. So sick of all of this headache!!!!
