National University San Diego Cohort 77

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all! I'm starting this forum because the previous cohorts did the same thing and those forums have been very helpful to me. I am applying to Cohort 77 in San Diego and am wanting to connect with others that are applying as well so we can keep each other updated throughout this process. ?

Hello everyone. I went searching for this group because I have yet to receive any emails regarding interviews/declinations. Thank you Kasandra for the update!

Here I was stressed out, constantly checking my email, and looking for updates LOL. But anyway, after seeing your guys' GPA's & TEAS scores I'm like ehhh... maybe I'll get listed as an alternate lmao! I applied with a 3.6 and 82 on the TEAS ?

Yes, good luck to us ?? You're up there with the GPA though! I've seen people in prior cohorts get accepted with similar stats to yours.

Also, has anybody looked into a second (or third) option as far as nursing schools go or is National the only school you're applying to/interested in? If so, would you mind sharing the other schools? When I was doing my research, it's lowkey hard to find a school in SD offering a BSN program if you don't already have your ADN or going for a second bachelors.

So there are a couple other private schools, like Chamberlain Irwindale and West Coast up north. Both a little expensive and more traditional in length.

Specializes in CNA.

Thank you for sharing! National University is my only option for now. I really want to do my BSN through them but if not accepted I would need other options.

I have been talking to Chamberlain in Irwindale as well. Definitely more expensive than National but their NCLEX pass rates are pretty good from what I seen online. My cousin is in her last semester at the Dallas campus and she keeps urging me to apply at the Irwindale campus.

No emails from my end as of right now.

I saw they don't require TEAS exam, etc.. or am I wrong? Do you live near the Irwin campus?

You guys might be getting scheduled for interviews then... I received my e-mail earlier but it was to let me know I was denied LOL.

Also, no. I live in San Diego. Chamberlain doesn't require the TEAS exam because they use a different exam called the HESI. It's very similar to the TEAS exam from what I've been told.
