National University LA Cohort 25

Published

Hey everyone,

Anyone here applying to National University LA campus (cohort 25)?  It's nerve-racking that there are only 19 spots!

@penguin22 I definitely want NU because of location and price. I think they also provide good support and resources.   Also smaller cohort might been less students to an advisor.

@ki13 Thank you for your honest response! How did your interview go? Mine started and finished within 10 minutes. ?

@penguin22 I think it went okay, I wish I had gotten questions about myself and why I wanted this school specifically.  I finished in 10 minutes too.

we made it guys! now we wait! praying for everyone

I wasn’t asked to share about myself either. But was asked why NU. Hopefully we will hear by the end of next week!

super quick! my interview was only 8 mins long LOL and everything I practiced or prep wasnt even asked. I think I did OK I tripped up on “what do you think is professionalism in nursing?” or something like that. it just threw me off LOL and I rambled. only 28 applicants this cohort and I’m sure NU is not the first choice for some applicants and some  may even decline their acceptance. fingers crossed for everyone that really wants NU! for me this is my top choice so I’m praying I get in.

I was asked the question, "What is the difference between diversity and inclusion in healthcare?"

I had prepped for a question like that and for something like what do you think about diversity in the nursing field.  But I got a question that was like, "tell me about a time you were in a diverse setting".  It kinda threw me off, same thing with the professionalism question.  This wait for results is going to feel so long?

I had talking points covering sections I thought would be asked (self, ethical/moral, professionalism, etc.) written down and taped all around my desk...didn't even get to reference them.  ?

Thanks for sharing your experiences and questions all! We got this!

@penguin22 LOL!

I was expecting “Tell us about yourself” as the first question, but they jumped right into “Why do you want a career in healthcare/nursing?”

does anyone know what day the cohort start? I know it’s April but is it right at April 1?

I believe the exact date is on the portal where we submitted the application. I think it’s under nursing application.
