  1. Congratulations @syphan319!!
  2. YAY!! Congratulations!
  3. The email was sent to me a few minutes ago...don't worry, they are working on sending them out. I did receive good news!
  4. Just received my NU email. Check yours. It was sent to my personal email.
  5. I applied to one other school. Also considering CSU Fullerton, however, I'm not sure if I want to go through the crazy NursingCAS process or possibly driving from SFV to Fullerton. How about you? @hopefulSLOTJ
  6. Same. I know it’s too early but I spent all day Monday and Tuesday refreshing my email. I need to hide my phone from myself today. I feel the same! It has only been 1 week but it feels like 10!
  7. I asked ----------------------- too and she said it depends on when the interviewing faculty can finish the scoring and return them back to her. She’s hoping (no guarantees) to be able to send out decisions by the end of next week or the following Monday/Tuesday.
  8. I had talking points covering sections I thought would be asked (self, ethical/moral, professionalism, etc.) written down and taped all around my desk...didn't even get to reference them. ? Thanks for sharing your experiences and questions all! We got this!
  9. I wasn’t asked to share about myself either. But was asked why NU. Hopefully we will hear by the end of next week! How did it go for you @NurseJennyT?
  10. @ki13 Thank you for your honest response! How did your interview go? Mine started and finished within 10 minutes. ?
  11. Hi All, This question is not related to NU interviews but, would anyone be willing to share why they would choose NU's program (if admitted) over another program like CSULA, West Coast University, or Mount Saint Mary's? I know that distance and cost of tuition is a major factor but would you choose, let's say, WCU or NU if given the opportunity to decide? And why? I am struggling with whether or not I should continue applying (paying for application fees and transcripts) for other ABSN programs. For example, I spent a good amount of money and time chasing after my recommenders to apply for the ABSN program at CSU Northridge. Found out there were over 500 applicants, in which they narrowed down to 80, was asked to submit a video answering some questions, and then they chose 40. They didn't even bother reviewing my video and sent me a denial letter. TIA!
  12. Oh my...I don’t think the names of the applicants were supposed to be shared. ? I believe the interviews are 1-applicant to 2-faculty. There are 2 faculty members conducting interviews for each group color.
  13. Thanks @NurseJennyT! This is definitely helpful!
  14. Hi! This was taken from another NU@SD forum, but it might be a good reference for calculating our admission points. · TEAS 40%: (0.TEAS score) *40 ex: 87.5 TEAS = (0.875*40) = 35 points · GPA 40%: 4.0 would be 40 points, 3.9 = 39 points. 3.65, = 36.5 points etc. · Interview 20%: 20 points (averaged from two scores) Looks like NU@SD has a cutoff at around 88 points. I'm not sure what LA's cut off is for this upcoming or previous cohorts. Anyone know?
  15. Thanks @ki13!! Best of luck to everyone who received the interview email. Please don't lose hope.
