National University Cohort 81 - deadline November 8, 2024

Hello everyone!

I am making this thread for anyone who is applying for NU's cohort 81. The application deadline for this cohort is on November 8, 2024. This is my second time applying for the program after getting denied from the last cohort due to my TEAS score. My stats are 3.73 GPA and 94 on the TEAS which I retook the other day. I also have 3 years of healthcare experience working mainly in behavioral health.

Hi, I'm applying to Cohort 81. This will be my first time do you mind sharing your initial TEAS score. I'm not sure if my score is good enough. My GPA is 3.9 and my TEAS score is only 84.

Hi!! I got denied for cohort 80 but applied to 81. My stats: 3.71 GPA and 93.3 on TEAS..

my last TEAS score was an 85 but you have a higher GPA than I do so it might even out? I know for cohort 80 the average TEAS was a 89.

I'm so nervous, it's my first time applying. I just submitted my application today. Do you have medical background or military experience? I don't know if it counts but it was asked on the application. Good luck to us! Did you get interviewed the first time?

I have a biotech background but not healthcare and no military  background. We wait about 1-2 weeks after November 8th to see if we are invited for an interview. Hopefully we get asked to interview! 

Nope I didn't get invited for an interview the first time :( but I applied with the 84.7 TEAS so Im hoping I get invited this time around.

2nd time applying 3.2 GPA and 86 TEAS? anyone has similar scores and got denied? im scared. Any thoughts or advice.

Hi Karina- I would try to get your GPA up to 3.5 if you can retake any classes? 86 on the TEAS is good, but I think the average for the last cohort was like an 89 😞 so competitive.... I hope we all get invited to an interview!

Is that average TEAS score or overall with the GPA, TEAS and interview combined?

No, when I was denied for last cohort my TEAS was either an 84.7 or 85 and she told me the average TEAS score for applicants for that round was an 89 😕

That's my overall GPA and 86 is my final result of the TEAS 7. 
im just nervous as this is my only choice of school. 
well I was thinking of joining the Marsha Faust but I've heard mixed reviews.

Oh 3.2 is your overall GPA? thats great..mine is only a 2.9 but my math and science is a 3.71. Do you know what your math and science GPA is? 

 

I know...National is my only choice too. I didn't apply anywhere else. It's really my only option. Thats why I literally retook the TEAS three times so I could submit my highest score 😞 the first time I got an 84, than an 81, and this most recent time a 93. 

It seems like we need such a high TEAS score to even be considered...
