Hey Y’all! I had to push back my application date to this cohort! I have yet to take my TEAS test, but my GPA is a 3.3 currently. Glad to “meet you all”

The deadline to apply for Cohort 64 is still May 15th (which is tmrw) they will based it off your GPA to get an interview, but you have until June 30th to take the TEAS.

Hello all!
I’m planning on applying in August for Cohort 65. I’m curious, does anyone know how the nursing department calculates Science pre-req GPA? I know they look at Bio 322, Anatomy, Micro, and Physiology.
I took Physiology at College #1 . I decided to retake for a better grade and I’m just about to finish Physiology at College #2.
Has anyone retaken a class or more than one of their science classes for a better grade and tried applying to BSN here at National? Just curious how this works and will also ask this same question at the pre-nursing forum scheduled in June 2020.
Thank you and it’s nice to join this thread!!

Did you take A&P together? They only accept A&P 1 and 2 and not separate.
They calculated your sciences and biostat and that’s what they use as a GPA but cumulative you have to have a 2.7 I believe
With the sciences you can use the one that you have the highest grade on.
And they do not combine it.
Hi John!
I talked to an advisor a few months ago and had my transcripts evaluated. The only class I’ve taken at National is their Bio 322 (Biostats) class. All of my other science Pre-reqs were completed at community colleges.
The advisor said the nursing department accepts Anatomy and Physiology courses that were completed at other colleges. I’m hoping she was giving me accurate information.

I have retaken A&P at national and they accept your best grade when you apply for the nursing program. They look at Statistics, A&P and micro for the GPA. You also have to take their Information Literacy course as a pre requisite that’s unique to National, unless you have a prior bachelors degree.

Hi there, I'm a student in Cohort 63. They will accept anatomy and physiology as separate classes. They just need to look at the college that you are transferring from to make sure it is equivalent.

I'm taking the TEAS in 2 weeks. I don't know what else to study.
Very nice! I'm aiming for a July test date. I want to finish micro before I go for it
