Hey Y’all!
I had to push back my application date to this cohort! I have yet to take my TEAS test, but my GPA is a 3.3 currently. Glad to “meet you all”

My GPA is 3.46 and TEAS is 96.
Healthcare experience is a plus, not a necessity. On the PDF they sent us pertaining to our interview, the first category that will be graded on is “Professional Healthcare Experience”, so it definitely is a factor they like to take into account if you have it on your resume. I believe they formulate a couple interview questions based on whether you have some or not. For example, they asked someone on a previous forum who worked at a hospital about a workplace scenario they experienced and how they handled it. But again, it isn’t “required” and most likely won’t be a dealbreaker.
So I say don’t worry! Let them know you’re currently enrolled in a CNA program. I’m sure they’ll love that. Work on your interview answers and I think you’ll be just fine. What’s your GPA and TEAS?
Thanks for the encouragement! Fingers crossed hope we all can get in and be each other’s classmates hahaha. I saw the first interview category and I freaked out LOL. That was why I enrolled right away into the CNA program. So before the interview, I only have exactly 6 days of CNA classroom experience, don’t even know if that helps. :S My GPA is 3.75 and my TEAS score is 88.
Thank you all for sharing, especially any knowledge about the interview.
I have CNA and administrative experience in the medical field, but I too am nervous it won’t be enough. So, good to know that others with no experience have been accepted.
Good luck to all of you and hope to see you in class starting January!
Just finished my interview. Phew! I feel like it went well, but not sure if that's any indication as to how it actually went. Both nurses were easy to talk to and at least made me feel like it went well.
They said 2-3 weeks until we find out the results. Let the waiting begin...
Good luck everyone!

OMG im super nervous right now. My interview is tomorrow. Anyone know why and how they split people in two groups for the interview? Do they do it from high GPA to low GPA or what?

I’m been a CNA for 6 years and EMT for 2 years. I think people without healthcare experience have still been accepted in past cohorts ?
