National University Cohort 36 Essay Topic

Hi,

I'm studying for National universitys essay portion of the entry exam.

This is my second time taking it and I was wondering if anyone could help me with what essay topics they have gotten in the past or for this cohort?

There is no way of preparing yourself for this essay as they do not give you any idea of how or what they will use for this essay!

My last essay topic a year ago was something along the lines of, "name 3 characteristics, gifts, talents that you have, that will help you become a nurse."

That's not verbatum but it's pretty close to what I got.

Hi

I am taking the essay in the next few weeks for cohort 36. I have no idea what will be on it or the grade criteria. The essay portion is so ambiguous. Let me know if you hear anything. I'm glad someone else is on allnurses for cohort 36. :) I have become a online stalker and spend hours reading other threads trying to relate my situation to past posters lol

Hi, I'm applying to cohort 36 also. Does anyone know about how many people are applying or about how long it takes to find out after the teas if you got in?

When are you taking the Teas?

There are about 200 people that apply and only 20 or 40 seats?... It takes around 3 1/3 months to get news.

I also applied for this cohort! M said that we should hear by the middle of July....so give or take 6 weeks. I also asked her how many applicants there were and she said 175, but people are always falling off, so probably closer to 150. For a cohort of 50, that's actually pretty good odds!

Does anyone happen to know the cutoff score (overall points) they accepted for the last cohort?
