Hello everyone!
I am making this thread for anyone who is applying for NU's cohort 81. The application deadline for this cohort is on November 8, 2024. This is my second time applying for the program after getting denied from the last cohort due to my TEAS score. My stats are 3.73 GPA and 94 on the TEAS which I retook the other day. I also have 3 years of healthcare experience working mainly in behavioral health.
Looking forward to chat with all of you here 🙂
In the email, it mentions how one of the criteria we will be graded on for the interview is "healthcare experience.” To be honest that makes me a little nervous because I was told healthcare experience wasn't a requirement to apply? Does anyone have any additional information on this? I do have experience as a CNA, but it is minimal, & it was quite a while ago. I'm just hoping not having much healthcare experience doesn't affect my interview 😣
I applied with a 90.7 TEAS & 4.0 GPA.
Did those who received invitations to the interview list health care experience on that last page of the application? Sorry for all the questions!

I did mention on my application that I have healthcare experience. You could talk about your experience as a CNA even if it wasn't much. I had my CNA license, but ever since I started working in behavioral health I wasn't able to get any hours using my license as I couldn't juggle working full-time and do that on the side. This would be the perfect opportunity to show them how that experience has shaped you to becoming a nurse.
Hi Alexandria, I'm worried about that too. I don't have any healthcare experience at all. I recently got out of the Navy as a Gas turbine tech LOL, have not applied to any job since then so I don't even know how to make a good resume LOL,
Your stats are way better than mine too, I have 3.9 and 84. :)I'm just happy I got an interview right now. Hoping the best for everyone!

Nice! Thanks for letting us know. I'm glad the interviews won't be for almost a month from now so gives us time to prepare 🤞
