I am making this thread for anyone who is applying for NU's cohort 81. The application deadline for this cohort is on November 8, 2024. This is my second time applying for the program after getting denied from the last cohort due to my TEAS score. My stats are 3.73 GPA and 94 on the TEAS which I retook the other day. I also have 3 years of healthcare experience working mainly in behavioral health.
I Didn't know they were sending rejection emails either. I didn't know she applied for this cohort but I messaged our class chat 2 weeks ago asking if anyone got in the program or applied. She texted me today. There must be a different reason why the rejection is early. Her TEAS score is 94 and her GPA is 3.5
my TEAS is only 84 😞
It could be her GPA being the reason. Someone told me the program is looking for students to have over 3.6 GPA and 90+ on the TEAS. Could also depend on the current trend of the cohort. I hate that this is the reality of applying for nursing programs in CA.

When I attended the forum, they mentioned that the Spring cohort is usually the one that is the least impacted, so the chances are a little higher of getting in, compared to the Summer, where they tend to have more applicants. Hopefully that's the case! I'm hoping we all hear from them tomorrow.
OMG me too!! Is yours an online interview? I thought they were in person? Oh well...at least we are on to the next stage!!
Oh wait it says location of interview and gives an address. But it says online formal interview? I'm assuming it's in person, I know the last round for cohort 80 were.
I also got the email for the interview! Mine is on 12/16/2024 at 11AM. I'm also confused about it being an online formal interview, but we go in person?
We are one step closer! Hope everyone else gets an email!
Mine says "online formal interview,” so I was assuming it was online. I am going to call once it gets a little closer to make sure. Mine is also on 12/16. Don't lose hope everyone!! I'm sure emails will still be rolling out next week too!
