National Certification for School Nursing NCSN-I passed!

Published

Just wanted to share that I passed this long 4 hour 250 question exam on the first try! To me if was just as difficult or even harder than the NCLEX. It is required in NC that we obtain certification within 3 years of hire.

On the plus side, new letters behind my name and a substantial pay increase! I'm ecstatic! Yippee Yay!

Hi there! I just found out I passed the July exam. I used the same tools too. Didn't care for the flas cards but the book and app were good! I prepped for 3 weeks, so grateful I passed!!

I'm in MA and the Dept of Ed requires school nurses get certified or have a Master's degree. This gets you a Professional Educators license as a school nurse. No bonus $ but we are on teachers pay scale.

What app did you use?

Search School Nursing NCSN review in the App Search. It identifies your weak areas with multiple choice questions. I liked it because you could use it any time or place, even for just a few minutes. There were also links for information related to the questions, giving addition info.

Hello! I see this thread is a year old. But I have a question, we are in the process of negotiating compensation for certification in my district. I would love to know what state you are in so I can show our district that precedent has been set for Masters pay for NCSN.. We are desperate for documentation so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on passing!!!

Congrats!

Edit: Lol, zombie thread resurrection. Congrats anyway!
