Nassau Community College

Hi!

Is anybody currently attending or has anybody graduated from Nassau Community College for nursing?

If so, how was/is it?

Tracy

HI, Im a NCC nursing student...Ill be starting NUR 105 in the spring. I think that it is a very good program for a few reasons. One, they put you into clinicals almost right away...about 2 months into thte program, which I think is great...because that is where you really learn skills...and two, it is much less

expensive...compared to the private colleges around here (Molloy and Adelphi) You can save so much money getting your associates, and then work as an RN and have your employer pay to further your education. The only thing about NCC that people have a problem with is that it is very difficult to get in. Good Luck where ever you choose to go! :)

Hi Tracy

I spoke to you a while back about NCC. I'm in Nursing 105 there right now, are you applying for the fall currently?

hi!

i am currently taking ap1 and algebra. i will be applying in october for the spring 2005 semester. i hope that i make the cut. i will also be applying to farmingdale just in case.

how is nursing 105 going?

it's good, thanks for asking. i'm doing my clinicals at glen cove right now. just passed my last care plan for the semester so that's nice to be done with next semester(fall) i hope to get into winthrop and do my psych at hillside facility. are you applying for the day program? day program is easier to get into and spring semester has more openings than winter so you should be ok if you go that route. i also applied to farmingdale program just as a fallback in case i didn't get into nassau. i applied to molloy as well--you can definitely get into there as long as you're willing to pay the tuition. good luck with your prereqs and admission. i'm sure you'll be happy and working hard wherever you decide to go.
