Nassau Community College Nursing program Fall 2020

Hello everyone,

I did not see a thread for upcoming Fall 2020. Who has applied for this window that closes March 13th? What are your stats? I want to know like yesterday if I got in. This wait is the worst. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you.

@Jalambelet1213 Were you already a student at NCC or are you starting in the fall?

I’m a new student, applied in January I think (TEAS sent in March). I have a weird NCC emaik with generic numbers, probably my student ID or something. I didn’t get a letter or anything. Just an email from financial aid discussing paperwork and “see you this fall!”

I think they’re a bit jumbled due to the stay Home orders!

A girl in one of my classes right now said she got accepted and received both a letter and an email. My stats were slightly better than hers but her TEAS were slightly better than mine and we also completed the same amount of courses so it made me hopeful. She said she received her letter and email the 3rd week of April which I thought was pretty early

WOW! 3rd week of April! That is pretty early! LOL that just made me panic even more. I'm sure everyone is going crazy right now with this wait! Being stuck at home makes the wait 10x worse.

Really? I haven’t heard of anyone getting an email! What a mess this is ??‍♀️

@JGVargas you’re not the only one, my anxiety has been on 1000 since I found out people got acceptance letters already and I haven’t ?

@Jalambelet1213 this whole thing really is a mess. I don’t see a reason to send both a letter and email. My classmate also said she got accepted into the surgical tech program too so maybe they accepted her early so she can decide which program to be in? At this point I’m coming up with a million reasons as to why I haven’t heard anything for myself yet ?

If it makes some of you feel better. I will not be taking the seat at Nassau. I committed to Suffolk’s program already. So at least one more seat will open.

I agree - seems a bit backwards. I got pretty excited when I saw my registration status change to Nursing and then to see it freeze.... THE EMOTIONAL WHIPLASH !

At least your status changed to Nursing! LOL I'd feel over the moon to see that. I kept trying to stare and refresh it hoping it would change!?

Maybe tomorrow all of our reg. status will change to Nursing and this excruciating stressful wait will be over.
