Name too long and doesnt match with ATT

Published

hi. i just registered with pearson vue last week and got my att. I had applied with BRN California for initial licensure. the problem now is, i have first three names. Let's say my name is Alexa Marie Kristelle Meester. ( haha, i love blair!).. and when i got my att through email, my name was cut short, it only has Alexa marie Kris. i am aware that in order tobe admitted for the exam, one must present a passport which must EXACTLY MATCH your name in the att. i emailed pearson vue regarding this issue and they told me that they have no right to edit/ make changes with the att and that it wouldn't matter because there's only 15 boxes for each letter ( which i think includes space) for a first name. but what can i do, i have three first names. and my third first name was cut short. how can i explain this to the admitting person during the day of exam?? please help. also, my name includes a non-western alphabet Ñ. i used N instead of Ñ for my first name. . sorry, just my name is too much for a headache. anyone please enlighten me. thank you. :)

What about your middle and last names? are they complete?

yes they are complete. just my first name. :( will i just print the email that i receive from pearson vue regarding my name?

I would suggest that you do that as well as bringing another government issued ID with photo and signature to accompany your passport.

Pearson Vue has limited themselves and caused problems for foreign applicants by restricting name character spaces.

Make sure your passport is VALID. Expired passports will get you booted.

Since your middle and last names are OK there shouldn't be a major issue; the administrators at the testing facilities should already be aware of the character limitation.

Thank you Hushdawg . I will definitely bring all valid i.d.;s that i can bring with me. i was just anxious that they will not adit me in the testing center. as for the passport, i got a new one so it would not be a problem. thank you very much. :)
