I just took my test today and I have never had a worse feeling about something. I got 170 questions and had 2 drug calc questions. I did over 3000 questions to prepare for this plus my school used ATI. No amount of questions could have prepared me for the NCLEX. I knew way more than what that test asked. I feel like I could have written a prep book with all the questions I did. I am extremely frustrated and had to vent on here. Thanks for listening! Oh, on top of it, my car burned last night!!

hey, all...this is my first post here. so glad i found you all. i just took my nclex yesterday and i have to say...even though i graduated valedictorian and had the highest score on my pn assessment test....that test totally blew my mind. i only got 85 questions. i'm thinking this could be good or bad. any thoughts, words of sympathy/encouragement:lol2:. oh, btw...i'd read some of the other posts in here about lpns not being able to admin meds...i'm in ga and the only things we can't do are admissions, hang blood and push certain cardiac drugs. we do iv's, push meds, give prn's, etc. and, i agree with the girl who said if certain states prohibited lpn's from passing meds she wondered what the central focus of their nursing program was. ours was assessments, care plans and drugs...over and over and over.
anyway, just thought i'd throw that in. nice to meet ya!

Our instructor offered us the opportunity to come all last week and go over NCLEX cd's in the computer lab. It really helped me a lot. I'll definitely follow up and let you know how it goes. Good luck!

Took my NCLEX today. I studied harder really hard. Most people in my class took it before me and they got between 80-90 questions and all passed. One girl got 205 questions and passed. I personally got 147 questions and feel like that means I wasnt good enough to be stopped at 85. I dont know what to think but my head hurts SO bad. I did ERI daily and did 3 review books. I constantly studied. I dont feel it helped me much. I know people say not to get caught up on questions but Ive read a lot of threads on her and most people pass at 85 so im beyond nervous. I feel so sick. I wanted to be confident with myself because I did well and school and tried so hard. no ammount of review questions couldve prepared me for the shock of seeing words that I had never even seen before on the exam. The only ones I feel POSITIVE I got right were the math ones.
Aw, I'm sure you did really well. I DID pass btw! YAY!!! And, it seems to me that especially if it cuts off before 205, the vast majority of ppl pass. I felt the exact same way you did. And, it's such a relieft now to know it's over. Good luck and let me know how you did!!!

We're going to be in the graham / burlington area. Can't wait!! Can you give me the low down on what LPN's can / can't do in NC? I start my BSN in January.
Thanks for the nice words. Everytime I read on here someone passed I start feeling better. I think its just overwhelming for everyone I guess... what matters to me is that I did the best I could, and I did. Theres nothing I couldve done to prepare differently really.
CONGRATS!!! IM REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU!:roll :balloons::monkeydance:
