Ok, well not really! But for exam 3, he tells us to study chapters 7-11, plus all past material! Like WTH??? All "past material" would actually include all the way up to chapter 15, as that's what we've just finished covering. So I'm thinking does he mean "past material" prior to chapter 7? And if so, why not just say study chapters 1-11?!?!? I have a feeling he is trying to trip us up! Either way, it's confusing the hell out of me! I've emailed him for clarification - he is not about to sucka punch me and jeopardize my A!!!
We only have 2.5 weeks left in the quarter, I don't need this stress now! I can't stand professors that make things difficult for no reason! This isn't sociology, it's physiology - I'm a need for you to be black or white, and stop it with this gray stuff!
What do you guys think?

Usually they mean all the material covered in the class. Often the prof doesn't follow the order of the chapters in the book so it would be only the chapters the class covered. Your notes from the first day of class should cover things like this either way but certainly if your prof does something than this.

yea it sounds cumulative. if you've been studying the past material and have been doing well, you should do fine. the professor won't keep you from getting an a.
