Hello everyone My name is Kristina and I've been on the member of this board for quite some time, just never really post. Here's my story- Last year I failed the NCLEX-PN in California. There were many factors that contributed to my failing, but all in all, it was me. It took quite some time for me to get that through to my head (a couple of months,) but I'm glad it finally did. Since then I have been going through a mental battle, whether or not to take the test over again. Many things have happened since last year that prohibited me from taking the test again too, not just my inner feeling of not wanting to. Things like finding a well-paying job, traveling etc. In the end though, I really want to be a nurse.
My new found motivation came from the most random place. I was watching Legally Blond and thought to myself, things like this can really happen... and I can pass.
Why I am writing? To say thank you to those that have been posting tips. They mean a lot to us here, really.
Now, I was thinking of an idea... If anyone wants to message me and talk over tips and just keep an eye out for each other during this time of studying, Let Me Know. I can share my motivation and can always use the extra help, that's for sure.
Good Luck everyone:)

I'm happy that you have decided to try again!!
I'm trying again too, after 7 years!! I know it sounds crazy!! I failed the NCLEX-RN in '00. I felt soooo discouraged, and then life happened. I married, had 2 kids, and became a school teacher. My BSN allowed me to do an alternative certification program. We needed the money bad since I still had nursing school loans to pay off. I took the opportunity and ran with it.
I've been teaching for 5 years now and I do love it. BUT, I've always felt as if something is missing in my life. And that something is nursing! My "AHA" moment came this last May and I have been studying religiously since June using Saunder's and Suzanne's plan. It has been a battle because I have forgotten a LOT of things. There's been a lot of times that I've just wanted to quit. But I won't quit again!!
Good luck on your journey.
Life does happen and before you know it, months and years pass. I do not regret a thing, but I look forward to the future and getting back on the ball with this.
Thanks for sharing your story and Good Luck as well Keep in touch and let me know how it all turns out. I'm excited for you.
