I have to agree with strawberryluv that seems really high for a CNA course. I took mine with my Home Health Agency and it was around 700 and that was including the fees for the state testing. I'd look around your area and see if there are some other options for some places to take the course that is cheaper. How long is the course for? Mine was around 6 weeks.
As for what to expect for the class it is hard to really tell you because each place may run things differently. But I had class time from 9am to 2pm for 4days a week. Then for two weeks we had clinicals and then back to class for one last week before taking final test and be qualified to taking our states test.

Hi, my name is Pete M,
I'm interested in becoming a CNA, is anyone on here from the Bergen County, NJ area?
What type of experience can I expect in class?
How many books do I need to get and what are the books about?
I was thinking about taking courses in HOHOKUS or BERGEN community...
