I just took the HESIa2 this morning. My grades were all good expect Math! I don't have access to the cumulative grade yet, my these were my individual scores:
Grammar 96
Reading 93
Vocab 88
Math 82.
Does anyone know if they average scores like normal which would be a 91, or if one section outweighs another?
Thanks!

actually on the printout that they give you there should be an overall score listed on it. However, I do believe that they avg it the same way that they would anything else. The overall score would be based on the avg of all your areas without weight given to any specific area.
Thanks. They wouldn't give us a printout!

Damn you overachievers...
I took TEAS and didn't do so well on it.
No one here by that name! I've heard the TEAS & the NET are both more difficult than the HESI if it makes you feel better!

It depends on your school. Mine makes you only take the reading and math. Only the reading is calculated in your score and you just have to make a 70 on the math.

Congrats on your good scores!!
Thanks everyone...I hate the 82 in Math, but I'm old & can't even begin to remember the last time I had to convert pints, oz, gallons, etc...!
Please do not say that 36 is old. That is not very nice! : ) Wait, what was I talking about? Dang Old Age! : )
I know what you are saying though. I had fellow classmates last semeseter say that they haven't had biology since high school and that has been a few years. I would say to them it has been a few years for me too. Since, 1987 or 1988. Some of them weren't even alive at that point.
My point exactly! I feel 20 years older than I am because I work full-time and I'm a divorced mother of 4 daughters! I have to admit, my girls do help me study sometimes. I make flash cards & it's a hoot watching my 8 year old twins trying to pronounce some of the terms!

It really does depend on the school, my advisor told me that at my school they count your Math score as half of your points from the Hesi. I am going into a program that includes sciences and such, so they don't count that as much even though they test you. Because of this I studied up on Math, which thankfully I only had a few conversion questions!
