My experience

Hi everyone! just wanted to share my brief NCLEX experience since this site was so helpful to me.

I graduate May 27, 2016. A couple of weeks after school was over I took the Kaplan course because it was required by my school. I didn't find it helpful at all and the whole tree thing slowed me down quite a bit. I then started reading threads on here and all I kept reading was about how amazing UWorld was. Because I am in CA, it took forever to get my ATT. While I was waiting i decided to begin with Kaplan's Qbank. I was doing 50-100?s/day. Finally I received my ATT at the end of June and right away purchased a 30-day subscription to Uworld. I ended up leaving my Kaplan Qbank w/ 300 questions and committed to Uworld. Their rationales were so great and I actually felt like I was learning. I began doing solely 100 questions per day and read rationales on my right and wrong answers. Even though 100 questions per day doesn't seem like much, their rationales are so detailed that it took me forever. I am also a mother of two, so I did as much as I could. I tested on the 27th of July, and finished my entire Qbank.

My test stopped at 75 questions with almost 40 SATA!!! I was devastated because I felt like there was no way I passed. Personally at the time I felt like nothing prepared me for the NCLEX and I was already thinking about ways to study for the next time around because I was sure I failed. Well, low and behold... less than 48 hours later my name appeared on the BRN website.

I can truthfully now thank UWORLD because I learned so much from them. Their Qbank gives so many SATA... honestly even though I doubted during my post-NCLEX breakdown... I could not have done it without UWORLD. Best $59 I have ever spent!!

If I could do it... YOU CAN TOO!!! Thank you to everyone on all nurses who shared their experiences prior to me because that also helped me and kept me sane!!

PS. I know everyone wonders about the PVT, it worked for me :)

Hi Rn_miadomsmommy, ADN congrtulations! May I know how many questions were there in UWorld Qbank that you purchased for $59. Also any idea, how many questions were there in Kaplan qbank if we spend $59 for one month?
